As promised, Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 10 Global Beta update to its second phase of devices. The update is happening quite early compared to the scheduled time of July-end. Earlier this month, the company rolled out MIUI 10 Beta update to its popular flagships and mid-rangers including the Xiaomi Mi Mix series, Mi 6 and Mi 5, Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. Now, with the addition of phase 2 devices, a total of 24 devices getting the latest MIUI 10 8.7.12 Global Beta ROM update.
The devices namely Redmi 4X, Mi 5s, Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 4A, Redmi 5A, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm/Redmi Note 4X, Mi Max 2, Redmi Note 5A/ Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Note 5A/ Redmi Y1, Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Mi 6, Mi Mix 2, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5 Pro/ Redmi Note 5, Mi Mix 2S, Mi 5, Mi Note 2, and Mi Mix are receiving MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.7.12 update.
MIUI 10 is a major update from Xiaomi bringing new features based on Artificial Intelligence. It includes AI Portrait mode which lets you take photos with the bokeh effect without needing dual cameras. It also a fast reload of App-based on AI that detects a frequently used application by a user. Apart from AI features, the MIUI 10 also includes Drive Mode, New Recent Menus, Gestures, Android-P like Volume Slider and Notification Shade, and support for inbuilt Mi Ecosystem.
