Download MIUI 7.2 China Stable ROM – Fastboot & Recovery ROM, Full Changelog

Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 7.2 China Stable ROM update for its various range of Android smartphones and tablets. As the update is rolling out via OTA (over-the-air), many of you will see a new update notification showing on their respective devices. Users can also manually check for updates from Settings > About phone > System Update. If you own Xiaomi Android phone and doesn’t wait for OTA update, then download the ROM (Fastboot and Recovery) and manually flash on your smartphone.

MIUI 7.2 compatible devices: As of now, the update is rolling out for only Mi 5, Mi 4S, Mi Note Pro, Mi 4c, Mi Pad 1, Redmi Note 4G (Single SIM) and Redmi 1S. Other Xiaomi devices namely Xiaomi Mi Note, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 2/2S, Mi Pad 2, Redmi 3, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 4G (Dual SIM), Redmi Note 3G, Redmi 2A, and Redmi 2 will be upgraded starting from March 9.

The new update brings option “Forgot password” in File Explorer which help to reset the password of private folders. For detailed changelog of MIUI 7.2 update, check the following points –

Permissions Manager

New – Manage permission to create home screen shortcut. Restrict all apps’ access to a specific permission in one press (01-20)

New – Double tapping top bar will go to the top of the page (12-08)
Optimization – Optimized data source analysis for images using quick URL (11-23)
Optimization – ‘Forgot password’ option will show after entering wrong password for private folder repeatedly (12-02)
