If you’re one among those Mi 5 users eagerly waiting for Android 7.0 Nougat update, then you’re finally done with your wait. Xiaomi today started rolling out MIUI 8.2 update based on Android Nougat firmware. Earlier the company released the same update for Chinese ROM variants, now it’s available for all the Xiaomi Mi 5 International owners. It is rolled out via OTA and brings the version MIUI 8.2.1.0.NAAMIEB.
This MIUI 8.2 update comes with a hefty bunch of new features such as swipe to delete lockscreen notification, UI adjustment for toggles, Antivirus scan for the apps and more. You can check the complete changelog by referring to the link below.
As the update is about 1.3GB in size, make sure to free space before starting the installation process. Also, use high-speed internet connection to say WiFi for downloading the update package.

How to update:
If you’re using MIUI 7 / MIUI 8 global stable ROM, please go to the ‘Updater’ app on your phone and check for updates.
