Download Mi Max 2 MIUI 9 Update [How to Install]

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 along with the Redmi Note 4 becomes one of the first company devices to get the taste of MIUI 9 ROM. The update has been started rolling out via OTA (over-the-air) just couple of days back. We’ve already shared tutorial on how to update Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 to MIUI 9 Stable ROM and today we’ll guide you the same update process for Mi Max 2 users.

The Mi Max 2 MIUI 9 update brings version MIUI 9.0.1.0 NDDMIEI and is about 535MB in size. Users can manually check for updates by following the path Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update. As it is rolling out in phase manner, users have to wait for couple of days to appear on their device notification bar. But, there are some users who can’t wait for the update and wanted to experience the MIUI 9 ROM right away. All those users can follow the below steps to install MIUI 9 latest version.

Install MIUI 9 on Mi Max 2:

Make sure to download necessary ROM from above download section. If you’ve downloaded Recovery ROM, then launch Mi Updater app and install from there. Fastboot ROM will be handy in case you’ve installed custom ROM or any other MIUI developer ROM.
