The patch is compatible only with Redmi 3 / Prime running on MIUI 8. Also the device should have root access and TWRP recovery installed through which the patch .zip file can be easily flashed. Fix Missing 4G LTE in Redmi 3 running on MIUI 8
Firstly root Redmi 3 using SuperSU and install TWRP recovery on your Redmi 3. Download Redmi 3 4G LTE patch .zip file and save on your computer. Connect the device with PC using a standard USB cable and copy the .zip on your device storage. Disconnect it from PC and boot into TWRP recovery using appropriate hardware keys. From recovery main menu, choose “Install” and select the .zip from internal storage. Swipe to confirm the flash. That’s it! Now you will see 4G LTE option back on your phone.
