How to Use Magisk Hide on your Android Device

In more straightforward terms, magisk is a tool that lets users root their devices. In this article, we are not here to talk about Magisk but about Magiski Hide. What is Magisk Hide?

Magisk Hide is a robust feature of the Magisk rooting tool that allows users to hide root access from applications with root detection. This feature helps users to use banking, streaming, and other root-sensitive apps that could not work on a rooted Android device.

What is the difference between a Magisk and a Magisk Hide?

Magisk is a systemless root tool that allows users to gain root access on their Android device without modifying the device’s firmware; on the other hand, Magisk hide is a feature of the Magisk rooting tool that lets users hide root access from root-sensitive apps. In summary, Magisk is the core component, and Magisk hide is an add-on feature. Together, they provide a powerful systemless root solution.

How to use Magisk Hide on your Android Device?

If you are using Magisk v24, then you may not find the option Magisk hide as it has been removed, and a new feature is added instead, which is known as Zygisk. This feature is precisely the same as Magisk Hide but is more secure than Magisk Hide.

To activate Magisk Hide on your Android device, follow the steps below:

  • Open the Magisk Manager App on your device.
  • Select the Menu option in the right corner.

  • Scroll down and enable the Magisk Hide and Enforce Denylist options.

  • Click the Menu key again to see a “Magisk Hide” option. Tap on that.
  • Choose the apps from which you want to hide the root.

  • After enabling these options, reboot your smartphone.
  • Now, you can run root-sensitive apps without any issues.
