Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is one of the hottest selling Android smartphone in India and why not as the smartphone packs with high-end specifications at an affordable price tag of Rs. 11,999 (3GB RAM + 32GB storage). Also, it is the first model from Xiaomi to equip a fingerprint sensor for better security purposes. As we all know, Xiaomi smartphones and tablets includes custom MIUI ROM which is different to that of stock Android. Many of the Xiaomi mobile users don’t like the MIUI ROM and wanted to change it with the Stock Android. For all those users, here we have shared a tutorial which guides to install Stock Android on Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with working fingerprint scanner. To proceed with the guide, make sure the Redmi Note 3 bootloader is unlocked and TWRP recovery is installed.

Early preparations:
- Download & Install USB Drivers on your PC.
- Charge your device at least 70% to avoid unnecessary poweroff during the flashing process.
- The Redmi Note 3 should be running on latest version
- TWRP custom recovery should be installed.
- Device bootloader should be unlocked.
- Backup all your important data including contacts and media.

Download & Install Stock Android on Redmi Note 3
Step 1: Firstly make sure to unlock the bootloader of Redmi Note 3 & install TWRP recovery from here. If already done, then you can continue from step 2.
Step 2: Then download the AOSP Android 5.1.1 ROM zip file from the following link to your computer. This is a prerooted, pre-gapped and pre-xposed ROM for Redmi Note 3.
Step 3: Next connect the device to PC and transfer the downloaded ROM zip file to internal storage.
Step 4: Disconnect the device and boot into TWRP Recovery. To do so, launch the Updater app, go to options and choose Reboot to recovery.
Step 5: From the recovery, select Backup > Swipe to backup option. This will help to perform backup of current MIUI ROM which can be useful to restore in the future just in case if you want to revert back to MIUI.
Step 6: Once done with backup process, you need to go back to Recovery main menu & choose the Install option. Here you need to select the ROM zip file which you have copied to device internal storage in step 3.
Step 7: Confirm to start the flashing process.
Step 8: Now boot your device into normal mode to start enjoying the Stock Android firmware on your latest Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with working fingerprint.
