Although Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the oldest flagship devices of the company, it’s still getting the latest updates. According to Xiaomi, the latest MIUI 8.5.2.0.NAACNED update has been rolling out to Xiaomi Mi 5 via OTA. Before this, Mi Max 2 was the company’s other device spotted running on MIUI 8.5 ROM.
As of now, the Chinese variants of the Mi 5 is receiving MIUI 8.5 China Stable update. The global variants are still running on MIUI 8.2 ROM. It’s a minor update bringing a couple of news features and performance improvements.
One of the noticeable changes of this update is the addition of a fast charge icon, a corresponding icon displayed along with battery. Apart from this, the new MIUI ROM also offers a smarter and more efficient CPU allocation strategy. There are also optimized auto-brightness adjustments included along with the update.

As the update is pushed via OTA, it takes a few days to appear on your notification bar. If you can’t wait for the OTA update and wanted to experience the ROM right away, go to MIUI Forum and download it manually.
