Although Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the oldest flagship devices of the company, it’s still getting the latest updates. According to Xiaomi, the latest MIUI 220.127.116.11.NAACNED update has been rolling out to Xiaomi Mi 5 via OTA. Before this, Mi Max 2 was the company’s other device spotted running on MIUI 8.5 ROM.
As of now, the Chinese variants of the Mi 5 is receiving MIUI 8.5 China Stable update. The global variants are still running on MIUI 8.2 ROM. It’s a minor update bringing a couple of news features and performance improvements.
One of the noticeable changes of this update is the addition of a fast charge icon, a corresponding icon displayed along with battery. Apart from this, the new MIUI ROM also offers a smarter and more efficient CPU allocation strategy. There are also optimized auto-brightness adjustments included along with the update.

As the update is pushed via OTA, it takes a few days to appear on your notification bar.
