Xiaomi after introducing MIUI 8 in China, today introduced the same globally at Mi Max launch event in India. Compared to the previous updates, the new MIUI 8 is the major upgrade which brings several new features and a new refreshed UI. Xiaomi at the Mi Max launch event revealed that there are more than 200 million MIUI active users all over the world. Of all that figure, India MIUI users counts 33% more active than average. These Indian MIUI fans will happy to hear that MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM update will be available starting from August 16th, 2016.

Xiaomi already released MIUI 8 China Developer build for various MIUI devices. Today the company has officially announced that it will release Pubic beta starting from July 11th and the MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM from August 16th, 2016.
The various Mi & Redmi devices to get MIUI 8 support are Mi 2/2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 5, Mi Note, Mi Max 32GB, Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 3.
