How to Flash MIUI V10.2.1.0.MBFMIXM Fastboot ROM on Redmi Note 4 MTK (Global)
- Download and extract the Redmi Note 4 MTK MIUI V10.2.1.0.MBFMIXM Fastboot ROM on your computer. Make sure to check if the ROM file suffix is “.tgz“. If it is “.gz“, please rename it to “.tgz“.
- Download and extract Mi Flash Tool on your computer.
- Make sure your Redmi Note 4 MTK’s bootloader is unlocked.
- Power off and boot Redmi Note 4 MTK (Global) into Fastboot Mode by pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together until you see the Fastboot logo.

We can update the Redmi Note 4 MTK (Global) firmware via recovery without using computer. However, the Recovery ROM MIUI version must be higher than your current installed version, as downgrading firmware is blocked by Xiaomi.
While user data is retained when flashing via stock recovery, it’s recommended to backup your Redmi Note 4 MTK (Global) data before installing, in case of accidental data loss.
Follow the steps to install MIUI V10.2.1.0.MBFMIXM Recovery ROM on Redmi Note 4 MTK using stock recovery:
