How to Flash MIUI V8.5.2.0.LHJMIED Fastboot ROM on Redmi 2/Redmi 2 Pro (Global)

Download and extract the Redmi 2/Redmi 2 Pro MIUI V8.5.2.0.LHJMIED Fastboot ROM on your computer. Make sure to check if the ROM file suffix is “.tgz“. If it is “.gz“, please rename it to “.tgz“.
Download and extract Xiaomi ROM Flash Tool on your computer.

Make sure your Redmi 2/Redmi 2 Pro’s bootloader is unlocked.

We can update the Redmi 2/Redmi 2 Pro (Global) firmware via recovery without using computer. However, the Recovery ROM MIUI version must be higher than your current installed version, as downgrading firmware is blocked by Xiaomi.

While user data is retained when flashing via stock recovery, it’s recommended to backup your Redmi 2/Redmi 2 Pro (Global) data before installing, in case of accidental data loss.
