Oppo on Wednesday announced its latest flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X at an event in Paris. The device grabs lots of attention as the company for the first time introduced motorized camera. Yes, the newly launched Oppo Find X has a camera slider that pops in and out from the top automatically. With this design, Oppo is quite successful in fitting an extremely large 6.4-inch display into a phone that you can still hold in one hand. It has 93.8 percent screen to body ratio and doesn’t have a iPhone X like notch. Let’s take a deep look over the specifications and features offered by Oppo Find X smartphone.
Oppo Find X Specifications
The dual-SIM Oppo Find X is equipped with a 6.42-inch (1080 x 2340 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, there is a 2.5GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU.
On the storage front, the Find X includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There is no microSD card slot for further memory expansion. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with its own ColorOS 5.1 on top.
The device features a unique facial scanning technology called the O-Face Recognition which is 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition for the unlocking the phone. There is no fingerprint sensor, so the 3D facing scanning is the only security feature available within the handset.
On the camera department, the Oppo Find X sports a dual-rear camera setup with 16MP f/2.0 primary camera, and 20MP f/2.2 secondary camera. On the front, there is a 25MP lens with AI-assisted features that offer 3D beautification effects. It has a 3,730mAh battery with Oppo’s VOOC fast wired charging that’s similar to OnePlus’ Dash Charge. Oppo claims that the device provides 2 hours of talk time with 5 minutes of charge.
Oppo Find X Price & Availability
The OPPO Find X comes in Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue colors, which offer gradient effect so that the phone shines elegantly at different angles. It is priced at 999 Euros (US$ 1,155 / Rs. 79,070 approx.) and will be available starting from August. China launch event is set of June 29th and the India launch is scheduled for July 12th. The Limited Lamborghini Edition with carbon fiber back, 512GB storage and VOOC Super Flash charge with 35-minute 0 to 100% charging costs 1699 Euros (US$ 1,970 / 1,34,470 approx.).
