Xiaomi’s native Operating system, HyperOS, was launched in late October at Xiaomi’s 14 series launch event. The update was also rolled out to its first batch of devices, including the Xiaomi 13 and Redmi K60 series, the Xiaomi MIX FOLD 3, and Xiaomi’s Pad 6 and 6 Max. These were the First Batch of the devices that received the HyperOS update and the Xiaomi 14 series in China. Xiaomi has announced today that the 2nd batch of existing Xiaomi devices will be getting the HyperOS Update in the upcoming month of December in China.
HyperOS Update for 2nd Batch of the Devices
Xiaomi plans to release the new HyperOS update to Xiaomi’s smartphones and Xiaomi’s Pad. The update will also include some Redmi smartphones and will be the first batch of the devices receiving the HyperOS update to Redmi devices.
Xiaomi has decided to release the HyperOS update to these 11 devices, which will be released in December and released only to the China ROM.

- Xiaomi 12S

- Redmi K50 Gaming Edition
At first, the announcement post flared discussion among members of Xiaomi’s China Community forums on Friday, mainly because Xiaomi did not include the Xiaomi 12S series of devices in the upcoming 2nd batch update list.
Nonetheless, Xiaomi spokesperson Zhang GuoQuan was quick to clarify the issue on Chinese Social Media platform Weibo that there was a miscommunication on the announcement post and that the Xiaomi 12S series is Xiaomi’s Top priority in receiving the HyperOS update due to the significance of these devices, being the Company’s first Leica-branded smartphones released to the market.
The Xiaomi China Community post has been updated to include the entire Xiaomi 12S series in the Upcoming Xiaomi HyperOS update. And Xiaomi fans are happy that the Xiaomi 12S series is getting the HyperOS update.
