Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix Android 8.0 Oreo based MIUI 9.6.1 Update Download

Xiaomi has been testing Android 8.0 Oreo on Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi Note 2, and Mi Mix from past several months and now it seems the company is happy with the results. All the three devices are currently receiving Android 8.0 Oreo based MIUI 9.6.1 Global update. It is a stable update rolling out via OTA.

The latest Android 8.0 Oreo update brings the version MIUI 9.6.1.0.OAACNFD for Xiaomi Mi 5, MIUI 9.6.1.0.OADCNFD for Mi Note 2, and MIUI 9.6.1.0.OAHCNFD for Mi Mix. Although, the Xiaomi Mi 5 was first to enter into Android Oreo Beta program compared to Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix, but the final stable update is rolling out together for all the three devices. All the three devices have been round since 2016, so the Android 8.0 Oreo could be the final Android upgrade. But, this doesn’t means Xiaomi doesn’t rollout MIUI updates for the same. In fact, Xiaomi has already released MIUI 10 Beta ROM update for Mi 5, Mi Note 2, and Mi Mix.

If you own any of the above smartphone, then you can manually check for updates from the path Settings > About Phone > Settings and see if you have any new update on your phone. If you have any update, then hit the DOWNLOAD to start downloading. Once done, you can update your device to MIUI 9.6.1.0 firmware.
