After the great success of Mi Band, it seems Xiaomi will soon launch a new fitness tracker, the Mi Band 2. Xiaomi co-founder and CEO Lei Jun has teased the next-gen Mi band in an event in China. The images shows an LCD display and physical buttons to the Mi Band 2.
The LCD display will show time and also helps in tracking daily steps, BPM, and so on. The first generation Mi band doesn’t include display, but with the inclusion in its successor will be liked by most of the users. Apart from display, the teased photo also shows a round physical button allowing users to toggle through different modes. Just similar to its predecessor, the Mi Band 2 uses the rubber strap where the screen will be fixed.
As the gadget includes a LCD display, it might be little costlier than the current gen of Mi Bands (Mi Band & Mi Band 1S) which are available starting from $15.
Earlier today, Xiaomi made official that its new phablet dubbed as Xiaomi Max will be announced on May 10 at a special event in China. So, we can expect the launch of Mi Band 2 at the same event.
