MIUI India fans happy to hear that Xiaomi is launching the Mi Max 6.44-inch phablet in India on June 30. The news was made official by Hugo Barra, Xiaomi’s VP through a tweet stating “Something BIG is coming to blow you away on 30th June, Indian Mi fans”. The device was first announced in China in the early May this year. So, it will be the best device for the users who likes playing high-end games and stream videos. It has a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1000:1 contrast ratio and 72% NTSC color gamut. It has hybrid dual SIM support and includes Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 / Octa Core Snpdragon 652 processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU.
It features a 16-megapixels rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, and f/2.0 aperture, there is a 5-megapixels front facing camera for video calling and other Selfie purposes. It is powered with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top. The Xiaomi Mi Max is the company first device to equip with MIUI 8 firmware out-of-the-box. The phablet comes in three variants, one with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, other with 3GB RAM + 64GB storage, and the last one with 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. Like the Redmi Note 3, the Mi Max also includes a fingerprint scanner on the back and also an infrared sensor. The connectivity options adds 4G LTE with VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS, it measures 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5mm and weighs 203g. It is powered with 4850mAh battery.
Price in India
The Xiaomi Mi Max comes in three different color versions – Gold, Silver, and Light grey and is price at Rs. 14,999 for the base variant (3GB RAM + 32GB Storage) and Rs. 19,999 for the high version (4GB RAM + 128GB storage). The device will be available to purchase from Mi.com starting from July 6th and the registration for the sale starts from today. The phablet will also be available on other top Indian online stores including Amazon.in, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ and Paytm.
