How to Root and Install TWRP Recovery on Xiaomi Mi Max MIUI 8 device
1. Firstly, download the TWRP 3.0.0 recovery from the above link and rename it to ‘recovery.img’. Now you transfer the file to the folder where ADB installed.
2. Now go the ADB folder and launch the command window (press & hold Shift key and then right click anywhere in the folder, then choose “Open command window here” from the various options).
3. Then you need to boot the device into fastboot mode (turn off the device and press Power + Volume Down together)and connect with PC.
4. Enter the command: fastboot devices to check the connection between your device & PC. Users will see the device serial number in reply which indicates a valid connection. Now you’re all set to flash TWRP recovery on your Mi Max device.
