Xiaomi today launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Mi Mix 2 at an event in Delhi, as it has promised. It has 5.99-inch bezel-less display with an 18:9 aspect ratio which is considered as the biggest highlights of the device. Pricing at Rs. 35,999, it is one of the most expensive flagship smartphone to be launched in India. Last year, the company introduced Mi 5 flagship in India for Rs. 24,999.
The Mi Mix 2 is the successor of last year’s Mi Mix, which brought a new revolution with its bezel-less design. It is also a considerable improvement over its predecessor in almost every way.
Pricing at Rs. 35,999, the Mi Mix 2 takes on the OnePlus 5 which almost packs similar kind of specifications. Currently, only the ‘regular’ ceramic + aluminum variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has been brought to India. While the special edition featuring an all-ceramic body and 8GB of RAM doesn’t making its way to the country. Coming to availability, the Mi Mix 2 can be purchased across various online & offline stores including Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and other Xiaomi retail partner outlets.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 flaunts a smaller 5.99-inch LCD display compared to the 6.4-inch 17:9 display on the Mi Mix. This smaller display gives a better grip to hold the device and carry around and it also has a higher resolution now at 2160 x 1080 pixels. On the back, it has glossy finish made of ceramic and that is what gives the phone the premium look.
Under the hood, there is an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 which is currently Qualcomm’s latest chipset. Like the latest flagship models, the Mi Mix 2 also equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage without any further expansion option.
The dual-SIM smartphone comes with a 12-megapixels rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, and 4K video recording. There is also a 5-mgepaixles front facing camera with facial recognition, 1080p video recording. There is also fingerprint scanner allocated on the rear panel just below the camera.
The connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11c, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. On the back, it has a 3400mAh battery which provides juice to the device.
