As expected, Xiaomi launched its new variant of Mi Notebook Air laptop in China. Called the Mi Notebook Air 4G, it comes support with LTE Cat. 4.4G connectivity which offers download speeds up to 150Mbps. The laptop has been announced in partnership with China Mobile and it comes built-in telecom operator’s network support without requiring a separate SIM card. The laptop also comes bundled with free 4GB per month 4G data plan on China Mobile, totalling 48GB a year. The Mi Notebook Air 4G Windows 10 laptop comes in two variants – 12.5-inch & 13.3-inch pricing 4699 Yuan (US$ 676 / Rs. 45,850 approx.) and 6999 Yuan (US$ 1005 / Rs. 68,335 approx.) respectively.
With 4G Connectivity on top, the new Mi laptop also comes with a metallic body and is being offered in two color options – Gold and Silver. To remind you, the predecessor of the 4G variant was launched back in July this year starting for Yuan 3,499.

Coming to the specifications, the 12.5-inch variant comes with a Full HD display resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), powered with an Intel Core m3 6Y30 CPU coupled with 4GB RAM. It runs on Windows 10 OS and has 128GB SATA SSD which can be further extendable via a second SSD slot. There is a 1-megapixels HD web camera for enjoying video conference with your friends and relatives. The other features includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, AKG dual speakers, 2 x USB 3.0 ports and a USB Type-C port. It is just 12.9mm thick, weighs 1.07kg, and powered with a 37Wh battery delivering 11.5 hours of backup.
The second variant with 13.3-inch display also features full HD resolution screen, runs on Windows 10 OS and is powered with an Intel Core i7 processor coupled with 1GB DDR5 NVIDIA GT 940MX for graphics and 8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM for multi-tasking. Other features adds 256GB SSD (additional SSD expansion slot available), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and a 40Wh battery providing backup for 9.5 hours.
As of now, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G laptop is announced exclusively for the Chinese market. No details revealed by Xiaomi for its plans of bringing the laptop to other Global market including India.
