It’s already over a year Xiaomi didn’t updated its tablet line-up, so you’d surely expecting one pretty soon. Last year, company announced Mi Pad 2 with metal body design exclusively in China. Today, its successor Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 leaked for the first time which highlights the glory of the device. Not only these, it also reveals the top notch hardware specifications of Xiaomi third generation tablet.
According to the images that have surfaced today, the Mi Pad 3 comes with a large 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels compared to the 7.9-inch display of Mi Pad and Mi Pad 2. Major upgrade to Mi Pad 3 compared to last year Mi Pad is use of powerful hardware including the 2.6GHz Intel Core M3-7Y30 dual-core processor coupled with Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU and 8GB LPDDR3 RAM for multi-tasking feature.
It comes in 128 or 256GB of storage, runs on Windows 10, and boasts an 8,290 mAh battery as well as a USB Type-C port for charging. On the cameras front, there will be a 16MP shooter on the back with dual-tone LED Flash and is accompanied with an 8MP camera on the front for Selfie & video calling purposes.
With such a larger display, the Mi Pad 3 measures 239.5 x 164.5 x 6.08mm and weighs 380 grams which is 57g lighter to that of Apple’s iPad. Just similar to other tablets, it also packs with various connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3.5mm Audio Port.
Mi Pad 3 Price in China/U.S./India: The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is rumored to cost 1999 Yuan (US$ 288 / Rs. 19540 approx.) for the 128GB storage variant and 2299 Yuan (US$ 330 / Rs. 22470 approx.) for the 256GB storage variant. It is still unclear whether there will be Android variant or not, but considering its predecessor we can surely expect as it alone announced in two variants. It is reportedly going to launch in China on December 30 this year. Company could also announce a magnetic keyboard which will be sold separately for 99 Yuan ($14).
