Xiaomi Mi Pad, the first generation of Mi tablet gets a permanent price cut of Rs. 2000 in India. That means the tablet will be available to purchase for just Rs. 10,999 instead of Rs. 12,999. It has got price cut not only on company website (Mi.com) but also on other online retailer stores like Flipkart, Amazon.in, and other.
To remind you, Xiaomi Mi Pad features a 7.9-inch (2048 x 1536 pixels) display with 326 ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, there is a 2.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor coupled with 192-core Kepler GPU and 2GB of RAM.
It runs on Android based MIUI ROM and has 16GB of onboard memory which can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. On the cameras front, it includes 8MP rear facing camera and a 5MP front camera. The tablet is 8.5mm thick and weighs just 360 grams. There is 6700mAh battery on the back to provide juice to the device.
Collecting back, Xiaomi already announced Mi Pad 2, the second generation of Mi pad in China back in November last year. The tablet was launched in two different versions- Android and Windows. Both the versions are currently available to purchase in China. Coming to specifications, the Mi Pad 2 has a 7.9-inch (2048 x 1536 pixels) display, powered with 2.24 GHz quad-core Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor, 2GB LPDDR3 RAM, 16GB/64GB storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 6190mAh battery.
