Xiaomi at the ongoing CES 2017 event announced its new television set, the Mi TV 4. The latest Mi TV 4 features a 4.9mm thick frame with a modular TV design that separates the panel from the rest of the electronics.
At the launch event, Hugo Barra, Xiaomi Global VP says that the Mi TV 4 is the company’s thinnest TV to date and it also first TV in its lineup to include Dolby Atmos audio technology which delivers best cinema experience.
It has a 4K resolution display (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) and is powered by Quad-Core 64-bit TV processor. The Mi TV 4 also comes bundled with Mi TV Bar that is integrated with 10 speakers, 2 wireless rear satellite speakers, and a subwoofer. It also features a Xiaomi’s “Patch Wall” software on top of the Android OS that’s totally based on deep learning AI technology. This can predict content based on what you’ve watched already.
The Mi TV 4 will be available in three different variants – the 49-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. Coming to the price tag, the 65-inch will be priced under $2000 (Rs. 1,35,485 approx.), that includes full sound bar set up with Dolby Atmos technology.
In addition, Xiaomi also announced a white version of the Mi Mix smartphone and a new Mi Router HD 802.11ac with up to 8TB surveillance hard drive. Xiaomi Mi Mix has the same ceramic body and the specifications also remains the same. On the other hand, the Mi Router HD includes smart features including automatic backups from all your devices, and even Time Machine support. Both the products will be available to purchase in China in the upcoming months.
