Xiaomi Mi5, the company latest flagship smartphone gets a flat Rs. 2000 price cut in India. The device was announced back in April for Rs. 24,999 for the 32GB variant. Starting from today, the device retails only for Rs. 22,999 and it is a permanent price cut. With a new price tag, the device becomes one of the best & cheapest flagship Android smartphones on sale in India.
The Xiaomi Mi5 sports a 5.15-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD IPS display with curved 3D Ceramic glass and 428ppi of pixel density. Under the hood, there is a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820 64-bit Quad-Core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 3GB RAM.
On the back, there is a 16-megapixels rear facing camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 4-axis OIS, and 4K video recording. On the front, there is a 4-megapixels selfie camera featuring f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
The Xiaomi Mi5 has dual SIM support, comes with 4G LTE and has a 3000mAh battery on the back with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. On the storage front, it has 32GB internal storage without support for microSD card and features a fingerprint scanner on the physical home button. The various other connectivity options includes USB Type-C port, 4G LTE (VoLTE support), NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
