Xiaomi has confirmed that Mi5 will also be announced at the upcoming MWC 2016 in Barcelona alongside in Beijing at the same date i.e. February 24th. The news has made official by Xiaomi vice-president Hugo Barra who has released a poster of launch claiming to be announced at MWC 2016.
The style of the poster is quite similar to that of earlier one which was released by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun apart from the Chinese language being converted to English. You will also see Hugo Barra at MWC 2016 event speaking about the launch. So, for the first time Xiaomi will also showcase Mi5 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Considering the MWC 2016 event, we will also see many top smartphone companies like Samsung, LG, and other also unveiling their 2016 flagship devices at the same event. So, this is a big decision of Xiaomi to push its latest flagship globally and become direct competitor to other top OEM devices.
In other Xiaomi Mi5 leak earlier today we have seen Mi5 smartphone packaging surfaced online showing 4 different colors options- White, Gold, Pink and Black. It also features an oval physical home button and uses metal frame. For more details check here.
