Xiaomi Redmi 3S, the company latest budget Android smartphone which was first unveiled in China is expected to launch in India soon. According to the news, Xiaomi has scheduled an event in New Delhi (India) to announce the Redmi 3S which will be the budget killer device around the 6K-7K price category. The device was launched in two different variants in China – the 2GB RAM pricing 699 Yuan and the 3GB RAM version for 899 Yuan. The Redmi 3S will be the successor of Redmi 2 with improved specifications and also comes with a metal body. It sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, powered with octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor and has a fingerprint scanner on the back which can be used as a shutter button while using the camera application.
Just like the various Xiaomi devices, it also has a dual hybrid SIM support where the second SIM slot can be used for memory expansion. On the cameras front, there is a 13-megapixels rear facing camera with PDAF and a 5-megapixels camera on the front for taking Selfies.
On the back, there is a massive 4100mAh battery which provides backup more than a day of heavy usage. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 (expected) on top and includes all the standard connectivity features.
Price in India: The device comes in Dark Grey, Silver and Gold versions and it is expected to be priced anywhere between Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 8,000 price range. Stay tuned as we’ll update the final price and availability details once the device is officially announced on August 3rd.
