Xiaomi last week announced its Redmi Note 4 smartphone in India and is also completed its first flash sale on Flipkart and Mi.com. According to the reports, more than 2,50,000 units of Redmi Note 4 were sold out in 10 minutes. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box with company guarantee’s Nougat update in the future. Keeping that in mind, Xiaomi releases Android 7.0 Nougat based MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM for Redmi Note 4. As the ROM is still under development, users may encounter potential issues after flashing on their handset.
As it is a major upgrade, you will notice several new functions and features compared to that of older version. Coming to the flashing, it can be done either from Recovery mode or Fastboot mode. Installation:
1. Make sure to backup all your important stuff (images, pics, media, contacts, etc.) to a safe location.
2. Charging level should be at least 70% or more, if not plug in the charger.
3. Go to main Settings of your device and then tap on Additional settings. Select the Backup and reset option and then tap on the Backup option. A new backup file will be created and saved on your device internal storage. Copy the file and save it on your PC.
4. Unlock the bootloader of your Redmi Note 4 device.
