Xiaomi India announced a new “Lake Blue” edition of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in India. There is no significance change in this variant apart from the “Luke Blue” color. One more important thing about this edition is that it will be available only in 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM variants.
The key reason behind the announcement of this edition is the “Wake the Lake” campaign. Under this, Xiaomi India has taken initiative to clean up the lakes in the city of Bengaluru in India. Thus sale of each unit of the limited edition Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue edition will go towards supporting Indian government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Over the years, many lakes in Bengaluru have been disappeared and many of the existing are highly polluted due to industrial waste. The main focus under this campaign will be restoring kempabudhi kerre lake and also helping local government to plant more trees, setting up benches, setting up solar lights, outdoor play area and toilets alongside this lake.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue edition will go on sale starting from today for Rs. 12,999 on Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Homes.
To remind you, Redmi Note 4 flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, powered by an 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android Marshmallow (Upgradable to Android 7.0). Other specifications includes a 13MP rear camera (5MP front camera), hybrid dual SIM support, 64GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB), and a 4100mAh battery.
