As promised, Xiaomi today launched its latest smartphone in India dubbed as Redmi Note 4. It is the successor of last year Redmi Note 3 with minor improvements over design and hardware features. The phone is announced in three variants priced at Rs. 9,999, Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 12,999.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. In comparison, the Chinese variant was announced running on MediaTek Helios X20 chipset.
It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box with MIUI 8 on top. The device is eligible for Android 7.0 Nougat based on MIUI 9. On the storage front, there is a 4GB RAM version coupled with 64GB storage while the other two version have a 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of storage on board.
The Redmi Note 4 has brushed metal body with chamfered edges, hybrid dual SIM support, fingerprint sensor on the back, and 4G LTE connectivity along with support for VoLTE. Price in India: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is priced at Rs. 9999 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, Rs. 10999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB version and the last but not least the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage costs 12999. As of now, the device will be available in Gold and Dark Grey colors while the Matte Black color version will also available for grab soon. There is no details when the device will go on sale but it will be Flipkart exclusive.
