Xiaomi on Monday announced the Redmi Note Prime, its latest 5.5-inch phablet in the Redmi Note series in India. Most of the people anticipated the Redmi Note 2 Prime seeing the recently launched smartphone teaser from the company. It is the second “Make in India” smartphone after the first “Redmi 2 Prime” which was launched back in August 2015 for Rs. 6,999. The device carries most of the specifications and features from its predecessor, the Redmi Note 4G.

Like all the Redmi Note series devices, the Redmi Note Prime also features a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution and 178-degree viewing angle. There is a 1.2GHz Quad-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM for better performance.
It runs on an outdated Android 4.4 KitKat OS with MIUI 7 on top. It is huge disappointment to its fans as most of the entry-level devices runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop or above. Coming to the Cameras, it has a 13MP of rear camera with LED Flash and there is a 5MP camera on the front above the screen for taking beautiful Selfies.
The Redmi Note Prime includes 16GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The connectivity features adds 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and GPS. It has dual SIM support and powered with 3100mAh removable battery.
Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime Price in India: The device is price at Rs. 8,499 and comes in White colors variant. It will go on sale exclusively on Amazon.in and Mi.com, starting from tomorrow 10AM, 15th December 2015.

I dont understand why do they call it “Note” without having a stylus. I quite agree that there is no formal rule or law to make a “Foo Bar Note” to have a stylus, but the “Note” mention triggers “Samsung Galaxy Note” owners to watchout how this new thing compare to their “Note” (including me).
