Despite from other Global market, Indian market is most favourite for the Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi. The major reason behind the company’s success story is expansion by adding more online retailer stores, entering into offline space and huge success of some mid-range smartphones like Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3s and the Redmi 3s Prime. Redmi Note 3 alone has more than 2.3 million sales number in India since its announcement in March this year.
Today Xiaomi India announces that it has achieved another milestone of selling more than 2 million smartphones in one quarter (Q3 2016) i.e. from July –September. Xiaomi’s India head Manu Jain tweeted that the company recorded 150 percent year-on-year growth. Xiaomi is constantly reaching sales of over 1 million handsets but this time it has cross the 2 million figure.

To remind you, Xiaomi first entered into India back in 2014 as an online-only brand to sell all its handset by partnering with Flipkart. Later, the company expanded its business by adding more online partners like Amazon India, Snapdeal, Paytm and Tata CLiQ. With all its hard work & efforts, Xiaomi holds an 8.4 percent market share in India and occupies fourth place just behind Samsung, Lenovo, and Micromax.
